From Pallet Town past the Elite Four...
Pallet Town (click here for detailed page) To start out the game, go north to the tall grass then follow Professor Oak to choose your starter Pokemon. Then battle your rival and go north to Route 1. Come back later to heal your Pokemon and grab the Town Map.
